UPDATED INFORMATION:

In December 2009 Kai had his 3rd surgery. Kai had responded well to the previous chemotherapy and the surgeons decided that some of his tumors reduced in size enough to operate. Kai’s had surgery on his abdomen to remove some of the largest tumor, one of his kidney’s and some lymph nodes. His other kidney looked healthy and is working fine. Kai also had surgery on his back to remove scar tissue and some other small tumors that were around his spine. There are still numerous tumors in his abdomen and lungs that the surgeons were unable to remove. These tumors are smaller than they were a couple months before, which shows he is responding to chemotherapy.

Kai’s recovery to this all day surgery was amazing! He was released from the hospital only 5 days after having surgery. He was walking and off pain medicine when coming home.

After Christmas Kai started an 18 week course of radiation treatment. and 31 week course of Chemotherapy. Please continue to pray for Kai and his recovery. Thank you!
